2024 will be the year when generative artificial intelligence will manifest itself and take focused strategic control in your workplace, office, and PC, too.
GenAI tops virtually all of the labour market's 2024 trend predictions and hit lists. Studies show that up to 85% of all companies in the new year will take steps to develop and implement their own AI tools and strategies.
Improved AI models, cloud services and open source will jointly make AI technology increasingly accessible and widely applicable.
While 2023 was the year of AI-generated images and text, AI video and audio will now go mainstream. 2024 will be the year when AI tools become sharper at imitating human speech and photos - where an explosion of video-generated content can become a pure user nightmare to identify.
Learning and safety
In the first months of 2023, just five per cent of companies used APIs and models with generative AI and applications with generative AI in their production environments. This figure is expected to increase to 80% by 2026.
With the spread of artificial intelligence in companies comes new needs for proactive data protection tools, which can prevent AI models from generating negative consequences.

Coffee badgers
Speaking of hybrid work, the new trend of coffee badging has popped up around the global office corridors - a term addressed to hybrid workers who are asked to come in and be present at their office workplaces.
Coffee badgers dutifully come into the office, grab some cups of coffee and mingle a bit among their colleagues ... before, after an hour or two, they leave the establishment again and return home to work remotely.

Only a third (34%) of respondents emphasized that they prefer working in the office all day when they finally decide to spend time at their physical workplace.
